School support and CPD

School Support

We offer schools the opportunity to work 1-1 with a specialist on the development of music in your school. Our school support specialists can provide consultancy on curriculum design, help you to devise plans for development or deliver whole staff training opportunities to upskill your team!

We can work with schools to implement areas of the National Plan for Music Education as well as other guidance such as Model Music Curriculum.

We have worked with a number of schools to improve their provision and are excited to work with schools in a bespoke way to help them develop music in line with their vision for the school.

  Support rates:

  • Hourly consultancy rate: £60
  • Date rate (6 hours): £300
  • Staff training (1.5 hours): £115

Liv was a fantastic help and it was so encouraging listen to her ideas and expertise in class teaching. I felt she knew exactly what I needed, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Thank you.

CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

As lead partner for the Music Education Hub in Kent, we are passionate about providing opportunities for all teachers across the county to develop their skills and expertise when it comes to music education. We offer a range of creative, resourceful and up-to-date professional development courses for music educators of all ages.

CPD in the 22/23 academic year

In the autumn term we brought you a brand new offering – the Kent Music Conference.

With the theme ‘Taking Action on Music’ and a focus on the new National Plan for Music Education (NPME), the day was a valuable, engaging and informative experience for more than 130 educators from across the county to come together and look at the future of music in schools.

Featuring keynote speeches from YolanDa Brown and Catherine Barker (United Learning), workshops from Katie Teage, Creative Futures, Black Lives in Music, Soundabout and many more, we were thrilled with the experience and have received glowing feedback.

Please keep an eye out for more CPD sessions to come throughout this year.

I was feeling low energy as the term 2 comes to an end, but this was the positive boost I was needing to spur me on through into Term 3. Thank you so much.
